    Need some paint advice

Hi all: I have a 1976 Bellanca 7GCBC that is red over white. It still has the original paint on it and I want to touch up some spots, however, I don't know what Bellanca was calling its versions of red so I don't know how to match the color that is on my plane. Can anyone tell me where to look...

    Vent tube leak

I have a '76 7GCBC. When I am taxiing with full tanks on a windy day and the wings are rocking the vent tube on the left tank has always leaked a little fuel. The leaking would only last for a few minutes. However, lately I've noticed that everytime I am moving with a full tank, it leaks, and...

    Low oil temp in winter

Does anyone know what I could do to get the oil temp in my '76 7GCBC higher in the winter. It's getting cold here now and even after flying for an hour at 2400 RPM my oil temp barely registers. It's fine when it's warm out, just happens when it gets cold. Thanks for any help. Joe.

    Hanger for my 7 GCBC

I am looking at building a steel hanger for my little 7 GCBC. So far a supplier of steel hangers named Aircraft Structures Inc has the lowest price. Anyone had any experience with this company, good or bad? Thanks. Joe.

    Aileron Spades

I have a 76' 7GCBC that requires a fair amount of force to work the aileron control at times. I have heard mention of aileron spades in reference to alleviating this problem, but I am not sure I know what they are nor what they do. Will they help lighten the control input for the ailerons...

For those who like backcountry flying.

I know many of you are like me and enjoy backcountry flying to unpaved and even undeveloped strips. There is a great site for discussing techniques for this type of flying at http://www.backcountrypilot.org. I seem to be one of the only Citabria pilots utilizing that site now and I know more...

    Landing light replacement

This may sound elementary to most of you, but as with all things on my plane, the first time something needs to be replaced/fixed, it's a new experience for me. So here goes. The bulb in the landing light is burnt out on my 1976 7GCBC and American Champion informs me the replacement part is GE...

    Another question about A&P rates

I purchased a '76 7GCBC last summer and when I took it in for a scheduled oil change the A&P at the local FBO found metal on the oil screen. A more thorough investigation revealed the need for a MOH. The engine was removed, crated and sent out for the overhaul. It was returned last month and...

    Useful load on Citabria

I have a 1976 7GCBC with a Lycoming 150 hp engine. Does anyone know of a modification that can be made to increase the gross weight without substantially increasing the empty weight of the plane. I would like to get more useful load out of the plane. I am in need of an engine overhaul and was...

    Air vent cover for 7GCBC

I have a 1976 7GCBC and this morning while flying, the little round plastic cover on the air vent located just behind the cowling at about knee level, fell off. Hopefully , it did not hit anyone on the ground. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? Joe in MT.

    Autogas or 100LL

I just purchased my first plane, which is a 1976 7 GCBC. With an STC the previous owner used autogas. The airport where I will keep it does not have autogas available, only 100LL. Will I incur any problems switching to 100LL or sHould I endeavor to find a way to keep supplying it with autogas...
