    Waltham Clock

I have a WWII US Navy Waltham 24 hour clock (Mdl CDIA) I'm installing in the panel. Only trouble is it gains about 1 minute every 24 hours. Anyone know where the speed adjustment is?

Need help with rudder cable exit dimensions

Anyone know or willing to take a tape and measure where on the fuselage fabric the rudder cables come out? My drawing doesn't show that. :?:

    165 HP cylinders on a 150?

May be a dumb question, but can you fit 165 cylinders onto a 6A4-150-B3? I've also heard you can get the cam reshaped to get you a few more horses. I'd love to hear from others that have made modifications to their stock 150 Frankies. Also, when this engine was torn down, it was due to a stuck...

Bought something to transport the Cruisair

Bought this from a government auction here in Huntsville. It runs quite well but will have to fix two leaky rear axles. $1700 for a fully-functioning M35A2! Plans are to install a bed extension to accomodate the two extra feet needed to transport the wings safely. For those who are interested...

    ANOTHER delay

What is it with me and rebuilding this Cruisair? Now I have hernia surgery tomorrow and will be out of commission for at least a month for any medium to heavy work. DANG it  Right after that I have to get my right elbow scoped for some arthritis/ bone spur trouble so we can add ANOTHER...

    What if?

Wonder what Bellanca's biplane trainer would have looked like? Here's my take on a Pitcairn trainer based on the PC-2 Autogyro: Dan Cullman's Bellanca Trainer is such a beauty one has to wonder what else Guiseppe could have come up with... :D

    Cruisair headliner Question

This may sound dumb, but I can't for the life of me figure how to keep my 14-13-2 headliner from sagging. AFAIK, there are no bows that span the top side-to-side (are there?). All you got are the wood pieces that arch from the hat shelf to the door/ window frame on each side and a dome light...

    10 years

At this rate it'll be 10 years TT from buying 392 to returning it to the air. I'm just a little frustrated... I'm starting to forget where stuff goes, getting scared I can't afford the fuel, wondering if HUA will ever build those T-hangars so I can keep her covered, wondering if they'll let me...

    Bent motor mount

So... I get the motor mount back from the powder coat guy and... it's BENT  . The left front rail is bent down a couple of degrees. The burning question- is it now just so much more junk? If it'll help, I'll post some pictures.

    Another Cruisair

Someone's selling another Cruisair on ebaY. Looks pretty nice and has some nice things like Clevelands, alternator, 165 Frankie, etc. :D http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&sspagename=ADME%3AB%3ASS%3AUS%3A1123&viewitem=&item=220234428310

Fabric gap seals on a Cruisair

Question about those fabric gap seals on my Cruisair. As Dan Cullman pointed out, the trim tab is fixed in place with two pieces of fabric tape sewn down the middle to create an "X" when looking at it from the side. My question is why wouldn't someone do that with gap seals on the elevator and...

Any model builders in the club?

When it's too cold or hot to work on my Cruisair, I build little planes- plastic and radio control balsa planes. Any other builders out there (or ex-modelers)? That's how I got interested in the restoration scene. I might even venture into the recreation/ replica scene one day :o

    Flying skis?

I've always wondered... Say you're flying up north to the Winter Skiplane fly-in at Oshkosh. Along the way you need to stop to refuel where there ain't no snow. All you have are skis- not the skis with wheels sticking through them. Now what?!? Do you find a grass strip, slide it on and pray you...

    Air Dams

Not into NASCAR or motor sports in general, but the air dams they use on the cars are interesting. I wonder if a simple air dam could help keep air out of our wheel wells? Something like this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v41/cruisair/NC74392/AirDam.jpg It seems so simple. No fussy gear...
