I haven't been through CLT in a while, I was suprised to see this the other day. I was late for connection and didn't have time to get details. Hope this camera phone shot works.

That airplane is one of the original 14-9L airplanes built for State Airlines of Charlotte,NC.
They had the three that were built on special order. I logged about 45 minutes in this airplane when it was restored and owned by Karl Ascherfeld of Riverside, California. It is powered by a Lenape LM5 "Brave" engine of 95 Hp.

Sure would be nice if it still were flying! In the 30 seconds I had I could not even find a plaque or description somewhere.
