How much rust scale is allowable in the crank flange where the propellor bolts on to, the hollowed out part? Thanks for any answer, Joe
 
Check the Lycoming AD for crankshaft pitting. It is for 160 hp and up a recurring AD.That could be a pretty good guide for your Frankie. Lynn the crate
 
Thanks Lynn, I did some phone calls today and most said 10 percent of wall thickness, I have .065 depth on a couple. There was no plug in the front of crank and moisture hung out in there for a while. Tore the spare engine down today for a good crank now to send it out and have things checked.
