150 HP Champ / 7GCAA?

Anyone heard of putting a 150 HP engine on a Champ airframe? I was just talking to an A&P recently who was rebuilding one and said that the engine change would effectively make it a 7GCAA. He also plans on installing the new ACA metal wings - Would it have to retain the 7AC wings or can you put the 7GCAA wings on a 7AC fuselage?

Sure it would fit and bolt right up.
The older the fuselage frame, the less strength it has though.

Thanks Jerry. What would be required paperwork-wise to make sure the install is legit for the FAA?

A one-time STC.
Financially, I would just get a 7GCAA.
