It looks like inflation calculations put $1 in 1959 as worth $8.16 - $8.21 in 2015 dollars. If we adjust for inflation, the cost sheet looks interesting (attached). I wish I could get a 14-19-3 worth of airplane for $155k today. On the other hand, radios / audio panel prices aren't out of line with what a modern stack would cost (only the modern stack works a whole lot better). And I don't think I'd even pay $65 of today's money for curtains .
