1968 KCAB IO360

I have purchased a project: 1968 KCAB with an IO360 not installed, I would like to know if anyone has been able to get a field approval for this motor, I also plan to put this aircraft on floats, 1800's or 2000's I anticipate this will put the aircraft in an experimental category, however I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has tried and what they were able to get approved.

Good luck!! From what I understand, converting to experimental is getting much more difficult. Give the EAA a call and ask the questions before preceeding.
