does anyone out there know of an STC to put a 180 hp Lycoming in my 1977 Citabria 7GCBC. My engine has experienced a camshaft failure and I,m looking for more power to tow gliders.

Help Steve ! :(

I see a couple of STC's for an 0-360 installation.
SA 00464 DE , but that one is a one time STC.
SA 2354 NM is another and it looks like it can be repeated. Try faa.gov and look under http://www.airweb.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/

Thanks for the information . there is more to this story! I'm a Canadian owner which makes things a little more difficult ( certification wise ). I would prefer to stay away from constant speed propellers , but the STC held by Dan Carson is of interest and I'm trying to contact him for more information. The STC of most interest is SA00096BO held by Ronald Emond of Tyngsboro MA. but I cannot find any more information on him and this adress does not appear to be valid Thanks Steve

So your Canadian aey, Just do it and don't worry about the FAA, your on the the other side of the border....
How does that work anyway. Does the Canadian govt. go along with USA STC'S ??? I will have to check that one out. I tried a Google search on the said person in STC # SA00096BO. It shows up but the address is the same as on STC. Will have to check that a little closer too. I will check with a IA here in Anchorage to see if he has any info.
