496 to 660, folding rear seat?

Anybody have experience replacing the 496 panel mount with a 660 panel mount? I'm told the Air Gizmo panel docks fit the same hole, but what about data/power/ interface cables with transponder and comm? Probably need to replace?
Also, want to increase the range of folding rear seat back to facilitate loading. Increase the length of locking cables, I suppose, w/o interfering with stick.?

There is no way my rear seat back can interfere with the rear stick even without the cables, due to the thickness of the cushions.
Also I never fly with no one in the back seat without putting an additional cushion on the seat and connecting and tightening the rear seat harness.
So I really do not see any need for the cables on my seat.

Thanks for the input, Bill. Can't say as I disagree with you regarding the rear seat back, but our favorite Uncle seems to have a different opinion....see required placards in the operating manual. I've been told it would take a field approval to legally lengthen the restraining cables.

Phil, Just curious what year and model you have?
I do not have that placard in my Airplane Flight Manual required placards section.

Glad you asked, got me to thinking. I was quoting a generic post 1994 manual. My '98 7GCAA has the placard by the left window and it's in the manual.

The rear seat back in my 65 7ECA folds flat on the seat cushion and DEFINITELY interferes with the stick if not restricted by the cable.
