73 GCBC cowl fastener size

Does anyone happen to know the cam-loc cowl fastener size for the upper cowling of a 73 GCBC?

I need to replace mine, but need the size to order them from aircraft spruce. I'm thinking they are the 26S8 type, but need the -number for length.

Thanks to anyone who can help!

The dash number should be on the head. Are they Southco or Cam Loc? On my 75 GCAA they are Southco and they all seem to be 160 or 180s.

They are camlocs. I can't read the -number that is on them. That is why I am asking. I don't know if they are the originals or if someone had replaced them at some point. There doesn't seem to be any numbers on the heads at all.

I haven't talked to ACA. I figured I'd try here first. Someone must have ordered some in the past and know what size they take.

Thank you to all.

My '79 8KCAB had a variety of different lengths of Southco fasteners, depending on how many patches over the last 30 years. Tossed them all out and now have machine screws.

I too removed all Southco and replaced with SS screws and special nuts from ACA. Absolutely one of the best things I did for my 1979 CGAA. The Southco were a real pain to deal with. Always coming loose and actually had lost some.

My 73 8KCAB also uses many different sizes and it has no patches. Thanks for the info on the screw option. I will call ACA for further information.
