7ECA Resurection

 I have the remains of a 7ECA that is off the FAA register. It was reported scrapped in early 90's. I have begun a tedious process of trying to show to the FSDO and Registration that the plane exists. Does anyone have paperwork-project they would part with? If someone has brought a plane back from the great beyond, I would like to hear about it. "It's the paperwork that makes a plane fly" heard at a mechanics IA renewal conference.

I don't have first hand experience with this situation, however I believe the FAA will require you to get a new data plane from the factory (American Champion Aircraft), that is where you need to start. I would call ACA 262-534-6315 and ask to speak to someone about replacing a lost data plate, explain your situation and see what they need from you. Apparently you have the serial number and or N number, that should be a good start.
