Can anyone point me in the right direction ? I am changing my 7eca 0235 into a 7gcaa A2B, American champ has only engine drawings $40.00 and nothing else, I am proceeding with the type certificate no STC is required . Is there anything else in drawings I may need to satisfy Canada's Dept of Transport (FAA) if so who would have what I need.
Thanks Lee Koski

Lee,

I Have done a little research on this, not enough to know a lot about it; however.

I am surprised that you did not get more information from ACA. Maybe another call to them with the right questions would be of benefit.

Besides the engine change, my understanding is that you will need to either modify your firewall or buy one from ACA. It also requires moving the battery to the rear and replacing the fuel valve with the updated one.

ACA should have all the information and parts, drawings, etc. that you need.

Ron very sorry for the lack of a timely response. I did get info from American Champ and am all set pretty much, all of my 7eca cowlings exhaust etc all can be used again. The key is the exhaust system if you change that everything changes cowls and other components I have a dual exhaust and am allowed to use that by a modification to it and am good to go.

Hi I have made the engine transition from an 0235 to an 0320 Lycoming. The a/c is now a 7gcaa has anyone know if I need the prop spacer to install a 82'' McCauley prop or will it clear the cowl and bolt up to the crankshaft flange ?
