Did you ever get anything figured out? I got jumped on by Mvivon on one of the other sites for the info I gave you. Didn't mean to steer you in the wrong direction.

We found out that edo 1650's and pk1800's are aproved. Also, we talked to alton at pk and he said he could get a new set of 2050's certified on the plane, but it was prety spendy. Deff. the most expensive option.
Tom, Glad you found something out. When I posted on the other site and MTV replied I was a little taken back. I figured PK's were approved since they were origanlly from Northern MN and there are lots of Aeronca/Bellanca planes up here.
You can find PK 1800's for a decent price. I have seen several for sale from guys that had them on Supercubs but wanting the bigger EDO 2000.
