7GCBC gross increase

Was wondering if it is possible to increase the legal 1650 gross on a 7GCBC without buying new factory wings. I have every mod to make my plane go anywhere off field an average cub can go, but I have no legal load. FSDO, does not take it likely when your over weight, trust me. I have added 8 gussetts, to support my scout landing gear, to take the punishment of landing in big rocks and rough terrain. I have the milman spars, which I love, but have no added gross. Have almost every light weight mod, and considering removing my vacuum system and going electrical, since I dont do acrobatics.

I hate to see posts like these unanswered for 6 months... Can't believe no peeps have chimed in! I know every 7- owner would benefit from a fix to this downfall.
I have the same question as you... As far as I know, the 1650 gross is there for structural reasons (doing aerobatics +5G). I would feel safe operating at higher weights in a pseudo "normal" category; the performance is definitely there. I realize this doesn't help at all, as the ramp checking representative of the FAA would surely disagree!

With 31" tires and scout gear I would not attempt acrobatics and feel my plane is much sturdier than any super cub, as I repair them and currently building one.
