Hello to the club. I am a new member I also purchased a 1976 GCAA and flew it cross country last week. we had no nav equipment only sectionals and we had 2 forced landings after a carb rebuild all is well. It was a great trip!! Anyway I really like this plane and want to touch up the dope trim color I believe the dope was Randolph Buteryate, but what I would like to know is what is the type of paint that was used on the metal and the cowl. Some one told me they used buteryate there as well. Does any one know for sure what type of materials were used in 1976.
