I'm recovering my '66 260B and am repairing the flaps which have taken some abuse over the years. I've never been impressed with the alignment of the gaps and trailing edges on the inboard ends of the flaps and plan on repairing them to actually line up with the trailing edge of the wing. I've noticed that both flap trailing edges droop about 1/4" when the outboard end of the flap is aligned with the aileron which is aligned with the wing tip. Was it built like this on purpose? Any other input? Thanks in advance.
