aileron hinge float

In a post from some time back, I saw it stated that due to the long hinge, there will be "a bit" of aileron hinge float. How much vertical movement of the hinge is normal/acceptable in a 7 ECA with wood spars?
Thanks,
Don

Its not really a "how much" answer.
Basically you want to make sure there is not any hole elongation or other worn out components (being only: spar, bracket, and bolts).
Every wood spar twists or bends slightly differently, based on what kind of life the tree had and how its was built up / laminated at the factory. So, some might deflect more than others.
