Spades seem to help the bad aileron design of the 7 series a little more than the 8KCAB. So, yes, they do.
On a side note, don't believe any hype that they do anything but reduce stick forces (and cable loads since they are directly related). Now, it might be only a 20% reduction in actual force, but to the human body, it feels like 50%. Thus, just take them as a form of power steering and don't use it as a licence to push the aileron to the stop. hehe
