I am too tall for my 46 Cruisair with my current headset. I need a good headset that does not take as much room so that I dont have to lean back to fly with my head set on. I am ok with out headset. any recomendations?

There's a new generation of ANR headsets, Bill, that don't have all that over the ear gear. Just buds in the ears and a thin band between them. Not cheap, but no ducking :) Plus independent review sources, such as Aviation Consumer, gave some of them pretty good reviews. Some of these newer ones even use bluetooth and, thus, require no wires.

Here's an example: the Lightspeed Mach 1..

Hi! If your headliner is in good shape this idea wont appeal to you very much, but if you dont mind cutting into it you can raise the liner like it was done in the 14-19-3. Im sure it was much easier to do when the fabric was off, but it could be done from the inside.I described it in the post called Cruisair restoration a few days ago. Also,if you have plywood seat bottoms instead of the original canvas slings you will be sitting an inch or so higher. That is a real easy fix to go back to the original slings , and a lot less money than a headset. Good luck. Grant

There is a new headset out called Clarity Aloft, (http://www.clarityaloft.com/features.htm) it uses a small wire head band and replaceable ear plugs. Reduces noise really well and nothing sticks up above your head. They are over $500.00 but work very well especially in low head room planes..Greg
