I have a gazillion photos of various Citabrias 7 and 8 series during teardown and buildup. I always took copious photos during disassembly to aid in restoration and did I did do a bunch of restorations, mostly mid 70's aircraft.
Right now, today, I am welding in a new landing gear mount in a 7KCAB I bought in the early 80's. I don't own it anymore, but still work on it.
Incidently, I just moved FROM Georgetown TX, to my new job here in California as director of maintenance for a flight school. I miss TX!
What year is your project Citabria? Are you going through the engine too? If so, I can offer some do's and don't type suggestions. Also, if you've got a cracked gas tank, I can offer a good repair suggestion.
Safe Air repair is a good source of wood spars, or if you want metal but don't want to spring for Amer. Champs new wings, the Milman STC'd spars are a good thing to do. Don't have to worry about that silly aluminum wing strut attach fitting cracking!
Have fun on your project!
