Ceconite 101 or 102?

I have low-time 1974 7GCBC and want to buy the Ceconite Repair Kit and a few other items from Aircraft Spruce. Will also be getting the Ceconite repair manual. Will be having an A&P do the touch up but want to make sure it is done right. My question is should I order the Ceconite 101 or 102 repair kit?

Vernon-

At the time your aircraft was built only the 101 was available, in addition it is highly probable that cotton tapes were used as that was standard practice at that time but is no longer acceptable.

While 102 is approved for aircraft of the Citabria class our local dope expert will no longer use it and recommends 101.

To expand on my comment re 101 vs. 102 for recovery, the 102 has adequate strength, the 102 has a finer weave which will more closely resemble Grade A cotton with less dope, less weight, the concern is that the greater flexibility of the lighter weight 102 will cause accelerated cracking. ALL covering processes will eventually crack, polyurethane seems to be more crack prone than either dope or Polyfiber/Stitts, in any case follow the instructions AND keep the coating thin, the weave should be showing, flexibility is important, UV protection even more so.
