Citabria Fuel Tanks

Does anybody know if the fuel tanks are the identical for every citabria type? We are looking to replace the starboard tank on our GCAA which is split. We have located a potential 2nd hand tank but its off a later model Citabria and dont want to waste money buying it if it will not fit.

Dave,

Early Citabrias had different shaped fuel cells from the later models. If your tank has squared edges fore and aft, then it is the old style. More rounded edges indicate the later and current style.

Many thanks for that. Does anyone know if the newstyle tanks fit in the older model citabria's?
