Citabria Seats

I am restoring a 1969 Champion 7ECA. Does the parachute-type seat PN 7-1279 satisfy seat ADS?

I would call American Champion. They surely can tell you.

If you are referring to AD 09-22-02, the affected seats have 3/16" bolts where the back mounts to the seat bottom.
If your seat has 1/4" bolts, this AD has been compiled with. has been complied with.
I believe there are 3 AD notes on the seats, so it's important to know which AD you refer to.
As always, read the AD and or call American Champion Aircraft, they are very helpful.

Does anyone still use the parachute-type Citabria seats used in the early models?

From what I have seen...no; because of the way modern parachutes are made.
I have seen a lot of 'no cushion - fabric sleeve' style seat covers just for parachute purposes.

I have one but I am missing one.
