Citabria Side Window Replacement

I have a '79 7GCBC with a damaged left rear side window. A repair has been done but not well.

How easy is the replacement and does it need new fabric ?

No fabric work at all. There should be a screw down retainer at the front of the window. The window rests inside channels on the other 3 sides. You will have a trim a new window to fit. Hopefully not much because you want it snug in those channels.

We get our windows from Great Lakes and have LP Aero as an alternate. There are others as well.

Consider ordering new rubber molding, too. The old molding will likely be crusty. On mine, the bottom molding was really bad for some reason. Spruce has molding that's close, but the molding I got from ACA is just a tad thicker and makes the windows fit much better. -Alex
