Cleveland Troubles

I installed clevelands a few years ago to replace a set of bodell's that was marginal at best. I have been happy with the performance thus far, however, the right brake does not seem to be grabbing nearly as aggressive as the left. I have tried everything from new pads, rebleeding, installing new hydro lines, etc., but nothing has worked to make the right brake grab like the left. I'm really out of options other than to blame it on the ancient but very simple master cylinders, which have new o-rings. Has anyone had any similar problems when installing new clevelands, or have any other ideas outside of changing to a new style master cylinder???

Also, if you are having problems with field approvals on your clevelands, I can supply my documentation to get you legal.

Best Regards.
Merritt

Did you replace the old brake hoses under your floorboards that go from your masters to the emergency brake? If you can crawl under, open the acess panel and look for wet-looking brake hoses. They may not have failed all the way, but they may be "weeping".

Just an idea,

Mer, you can swap the parts and nail the problem. I had a similar problem on my old Cherokee and after swapping parts from right to left, I found a cracked wheel cylinder was the bad boy. LYNN :D
