Congratulations John Morrison!

Is the article in question viewable on the web? If not, which issue could I find it in? I rarely find any articles for my type and would LOVE to review this fine piece of print!

Thanks guys! The photos and the original draft of the accompianing article were done at Sun N' Fun 2004, and the EAA just now ran the piece.

Sorry Walter, I don't see any link to it online. The article is in Vintage Aircraft, the publication of the EAA's Vintage division.

Hey, John,

My wife just came out to San Francisco where I have been doing contract work for a couple of weeks and brought the Vintage Airplane magazine with the article about your plane. Very well done.

About throwing tools - a few years back, I was up working on my 14-19 project at my IA's shop. He was working on a Cessna cowling trying to get rusted screws out and finally got disgusted and threw the Phillips screw driver in the general direction of the hangar wall about 15 feet away.

Would you believe that the screwdriver managed to hit the 1-1/2 inch PVC air pressure pipe that ran about a foot off of the floor? It hit perfectly point first and punctured the line. Pieces of pipe went flying and the escaping air made quite a racket.

While my friend drove into town to get some replacement pipe, the other mechanics and I stood back about 15 ft from the broken pipe and TRIED to hit the damaged section with an old screwdriver for about 15 minutes. None of us even came close.

Come to think of it, I don't think I ever saw him throw a tool again.

Dave
