Good Morning All -
For the life of me, I don't know why ACA can't come up with a simple cable-operated cowl flap adjustment operable from the pilot's seat. I crawled under a pal's Pits yesterday, and the arrangement is blissfully simple. I have asked my shop to determine whether such a device would require an STC or simple field-approved 337. If a 337 is all that's required, I may have such a device added to my 7GCBC, and I will post pictures.
Note to Jerry Jr:
Could you take a moment away from adding cute gizmos and look into this please. I am sick and tired of making intra-day adjustments with a wrench and screwdriver and coming up with filthy hands each time. Check out how it's done in the Pits. A simple cable-operated control would give us dramatically increased control of oil temps, much more so that adding or removing the oil-cooler baffel.
