Does anyone know... is the firewall on a Cruisemaster aluminum or stainless steel? Thanks, Rob
 
Using stainless steel for a firewall does seem logical as CG mentions. Today I spent some time working near the firewall on my 14-19-3. Had my magnetic flashlight close by and before I knew it the magnet was stuck hard and fast to the firewall. Knowing that most stainless does not attract a magnet I must now assume that the firewall is some plain vanilla sheet metal. Does this sound right? Can anyone else confirm this? Thanks, Rob
 
It could be steel. there are some stainless mixtures that are magnetic. Both metals will protect you incase of fire.
 
As Greg said, some stainless is magnetic. However, you might consider that there's a lot of 4130, .020 away from your magnet.
