Is everyone using a tab , or can it be done using the springs as designed? Mine has a tab, but I would like to eliminate it if possible.
 
The springs attach to eyelets that are threaded through the firewall. by adjusting one eyelet shorter than the other, you are supposed to be able to apply more or less pressure on the right side. Thereby adjusting the trim.
 
I have thought about this many times. If a knob could be linked to adjust tension on the rudder spring, seems to me it could serve as a rudder trim adjustment.
