Different Rear Stick for a 76 Decathlon?

Is there an option to use a different stick for the back seat of a 76 Decathlon? The stock stick hits me when trying to go full back pressure. I need a stick like the front or one with less curvature. Is there one available? :roll:
 
I am a big guy and I had the same problem with the seick in my Citabria. I took the stick out and took it down to the local muffler shop and had them bend mine a little to a fit that I liked! You have to watch bending it too far so that it does not hit the back of the front seat at full forward deflection. Good Luck!

Yeah, I recommend the 'I changed nothing' approach with that.
Its all laid out for clearance in ideal conditions (and back when we were a skinnier America). (I did say 'we').

Anyway, yes, be sure you have good clearance with the front seat adjusted all the way aft as well. The Stick is 4130 normalized, so keep that in mind when tweeking it. The coating won't be pleased about your bend; so plan to fix that as well.
