Early Citabria Oleo Maintenance

In the next couple of months, my A & P friend and I plan to pull and "overhaul" the oleos on my 1965 Citabria No Bounce landing gear. New springs, seals and what ever else needs attention. I have read the information presented in the manual and reviewed the website on the maintenance of Aeronca struts. Although my A & P friend has a Champ, he has never worked with the oleos and I don't know anyone in this area who has.

Has anyone had experience working on the No Bounce Gear oleos, and are there any special things to watch for?
