I was thinking about bidding... it would make a nice parts plane, but it will cost a bunch to move it to the west coast. Also the condition of the engine is a big question mark. I sure don't want to get into a bidding war with any of my forum friends.
According to the seller... the 14-19-3 on eBay was sold for $5300 to someone from the Czech Republic. Apparently the buyer knows very little about Bellanca aircraft. Hopefully the new owner will join the forum and we might see the plane airworthy again someday. I suspect there are less than half a dozen triple-tails in all of Europe.
We'll see if money changes hands. Many are "shadow buyers," just exploring prices, never intending to complete the deal. It will cost another $5,300 to disassemble, package and ship. We'll see.......
