Elevator covering frustration

Okay- who's the wise guy who decided the 14-? elevator didn't need ribs that span the cross-section? I've rib-stiched this *%$@# thing TWICE now and it STILL looks a little dished. I can't seem to tie the knots loose enough where they will be TIGHT enough to hold the fabric and yet LOOSE enough not to pull it down a little.

All advice solicited :!:

No rib stitches on the trim tab, right?

Dave,
Mine are all done and hanging from the ceiling in my garage. The man who did them is the same person who recovers all of the Vikings so he is sharp. (He did them before I bought the plane.) I'll look at them when I get home and will let you know. Additionally, did you purchase your interior from Spruce or somewhere else or did you have it custom made?

I bought the materials from Airtex and installed them myself. The seats were covered by a local Auto Upholstery shop and I REALLY regret it. It would have been only $50 more to buy the Airtex seat covers and cushions.
My interior walls aren't anything special- white backed with stiff insulation pads with red piping around the edges. No tuck n roll or anything. Carpets sewn by Airtex and fit really nice.
Here's a link to an "in progress" picture.
