engine mount compatibility...

greetings!
anyone know if a 17-30 engine mount will fit on a 14-19 airframe? i'm thinking ahead to a possible engine swap on N522A when this old O-435 finally wheezes it's last. otherwise, anyone have a -2 engine mount they'd like to sell me? no big rush on this.

Hey Vic!

Keep in mind that, even though folks have thrown all sorts of engines onto Bellanca Cruisemasters....well....mostly O470 and IO470 Continentals, to do so you need to change the entire firewall forward to that of a Downer Cruisemaster which will give you a chubbier, shorter nose. No more grinning cat cowls. Overall, a less majestic ship.

If you're worried, buy a spare O435A1 or A2, have it rebuilt and pickled, and you'll be just fine
