I'm looking to get a fabric repair kit on hand in my hanger. I see two listed here, which one would be the better option?

You should patch with the same system the airplane is covered with. i.e. Poly Fiber, Superflite, etc.... I doubt your '73 7kcab has the original fabric.

Maybe neither is suitable for your purpose. These kits are for a nitrate dope base system. The main difference in the two kits is the fabric, 101 versus 102.

These kits contain items you may not need or can be optioned locally.

What do you want to be prepared for? Small puncture or large tear?

Buy only what you are prepared to fix. You may need only some super seam glue and dollar patches.

I'm late jumping in on this one but if you have no repair to make I would not buy anything since the paint will go bad. You should talk directly with the manufacturer of your covering system and buy from them or their designated distributor.

Superflite was extremely helpful. It's confusing since they are switching from System 6 to system 7. They sold me a yard of fabric, quart of glue, primer and paint as well as hardeners.

I did an 8" round patch. I brushed everything since it was so small. Turned out great. Very easy.
