Float kit

What is involved with installing a float kit on a 7GCBC? Welding job? Clamps? cost of parts, stc, etc?

I, too, am looking for assistance in installing floats on an 8GCBC.
Can it be done on all planes or must they have been built to accept at the factory ?

Have you been able to find anyone with some knowledge on this subject ?

We had a discussion on this between Nov 20-30 2004.

Basically it looks like for the 7eca and 7GCBC, the attachments are clamp on type, no welding required and you are looking at a 2 hours job. Not too expensive either. Now I am not sure for the scout though.
