Fuel level sender overhaul?

My main tank fuel senders are no longer anywhere near accurate on the 19-3, so I'm planning on doing something about that during the winter weather (I say as I'm looking at blue skies on Thanksgiving day in Seattle... weird). I've read Larry's writeup of his overhaul experiences, and it doesn't look too bad assuming my senders are just gunked up. However, anyone have recommendations on a shop that does overhauls if I want to go that route?

Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving!

Brian

Hi Brian... I will be approaching the same task in the near future. While I have absolutely no experience with any repair facility I did find the following resource: http://www.fuelsenders.com/ . I was planning to call this guy and let him convince me he knows what he is doing. Let us know what you end up doing... Rob

Rob & Brian, Air Parts of Lock Haven specialises in this type repair. They rebuilt the senders in a C-195 I Annual and they have worked like new ever since. Talk to George he is the owner and a good hand to know. They are at Lock Haven Airport in Pennsylvania 570-748-0823. http://WWW.AIRPARTSOFLOCKHAVEN.COM Lynn the crate

Thanks Lynn... you are truly the guru on these birds and I know you have the experience to back up the great advice. --Rob
