Air Decathlon
New member
Hi, Folks,
Just received an email from a friend who has a Decathlon and the fuel control unit - throttle body - in for repairs.
His unit was runnung rough - hard starting - poor mixture control - had to play with the mixture control until the rpms were above 1800.
The long and short is that the fcu overhauler says he found a greenish oil had migrated throughout the unit and causing improper control. Says he had been advised that the oil in the Brackett air filter was getting sucked into the fcu and had the same information from other sources.
Wondering if any of you have come across this and if so is the factory aware of it and using a different air filter.
