Gerdes master brake cylinder repair kit?

The master brake cylinders on my 1974 GCBC are beginning to leak. Does anyone know if and where a rebuild kit for the Gerdes cylinders can be had or if the proper O rings are available? I know I can get new Scott cylinders from American Champion for $184 ea but I reckon mine would be happy with new seals. Steve Sperry
 
You need MS28775-111, MS28778-3, and MS28778-6 "O" rings, I don't remember how many of each.

I struggled with changing "O" rings in my gerdes about three times and just could never stop them from leaking. Finally bit the bullet and bought new cleveland. Super expensive! Found out later that Grove makes an exact replacement and the factory may be starting to use these at about $ 130 each.

The O rings don't work because the wear is usually in the stem that comes out of the cylinder.

Mr Groves makes mighty fine replacements and 2 are now sat in my 7GCBC minus stickers and covered in grease :wink:
