Great Sky-Tec starter support

I replaced my original starter with a Sky-Tec at overhaul about 8 years ago. My 14-19-2 has been mostly sitting until recently with the engine perserved in a climate controlled hangar. When the attached starter relay failed I drove unit to Hartzell Engine Technologies enroute to a Florida vacation. I got a nice tour of their growing facility. I got a call that afternoon that the failure should not have occurred and that a new starter was being shipped under warranty.
 
These boys also make a great contactor/solenoid starter and master. I too have had great support from them. Lynn the crate :D
 
they have a trade-in program where if your starter dies they will send you a new one for something like 350 bucks. but they won't sell parts to fix the old one. or something like that.
