Help! Need to straighten gear legs

HI guys and gals! I have several Citabria gear legs that need straightening. I used to have this done at Northsound Aviation in Washington but he seems to be out of business. Rainbow Aviation in Oregon also used to do this but apparently not anymore.

Anybody have a source for this work? It used to cost me about $400 to have 2 legs straightened, checked for cracks and shot peened. New legs cost about $1200 EACH so reworking a slightly bent leg sure saves a lot of money.

Any ideas?

I've got the perfect solution......A set of gear legs done by Northsound about 5 years ago that I removed to put on Scout gear. I'd take $500 for the set. Regards Larry lwhiting@arctic.net

Great! That sound like a deal. I'll try to contact you at your email address.

Still interested in a source for straightening my spare grear.

I FOUND it! Same guy still doing landing gear straightening for Citabrias, Decathlons etc. Cost is still about $250 a gear leg, as opposed to $1200 for a new one.

His name is Jim Hayton, of North Sound Aviation
30578 Wallberg, Rd.
Sedro Wolley, WA. 98284

You might want to save this for future reference. He's the only guy I know of that still does this kind of work.

I've got 5 gear legs to send him! 8)
