Everyone has their hot starting hot ideas.
I flew Cessna 206's (I0-520 & same injection system) in the jungle of Peru on floats (where it is sure nice to get the fan going as you are drifting into the rocks).
My procedure hot
1. Everything forward
2. Prime until first flicker of fuel flow (all of the lines on top of the engine have boiled the fuel out into the cylinders flooding them)
3. Crank engine and it will take off with a roar than try to die,
4. bump the primer and retart throttle to keep it going until it settles down. (This takes two hands and more)
I always open the oil check door on top of the cowling to let the hot air escape if I am planning on a quick turnaround. planebones
