Hi,

I have 1977 Decathlon with Wooden wing spars. We are about to undertake a recover of the wings and fuselage. Can any one provided me with a diagram for the positioning of the inspection covers.

Cheers

Mike

Check with your IA before cutting holes. The Service Bulletin calls for far too many holes and are unneccesary. The signing IA is the one who decides. If he insists on the 17 holes, find anoher IA who knows this airplane.

Thank you for reply Robert. I am the one doing the work and signing for it. Just thought there my be a diagram of the factory required ones like I have for a Aviat Pitts S2A/B that I just completed.

Regards

Mike

Mike,
I have the ACA metal spar wing covering drawing 7-1521. I also have the VERY large fuselage covering drawing 7-1268.
I bought them from ACA when I recovered my 1975 8KCAB fuselage, and covered the new wings I bought from ACA uncovered.
If you can assure me that you will return them, I will loan them to you.

Mike,
I should have also mentioned that ACA will sell you any of there drawings, in case you want a copy to keep. I don't remember the price.

I just bought ~12 of their drawings to do the 150 hp upgrade on my 7ECA and some cost $40 and some $50 each depending on what, I don't know.
