Jack Points ?? - Tail support ??

:? Annual time next week ( 14-13-2).

I have a couple of home brew "adaptors" meant to be used with hydraulic floor jacks.

I assume that the jack points are the Forward ( Main Spar) attach points ( read tubing).
I'm guess the A&I has real A/C jacks... but its on me to know the drill.

How should the tail wheel be supported , and in what attitude.. to allow gear cycle testing,
and other work that requires someone to get in and out of the plane ?

I'm thinking " flight" level .. and about the height of a grease drum ( ~ 3 feet ).

This and many of my other newbie first timer questions got answered during the annual this week.

We put a stepping stool, a 4x6 (side ways), and an available padded board ( old seat cushion ? )
under the fuselage just ahead of the leading edge of the horizontal stabilizer so both longerons rested squarely on it.
We chained the elevated tail wheel ( about 18 " height ) to a hook in the floor, so the plane couldn't
nose over.

We hung two home made U shaped jack plates from the forward spar attach points, and jacked up the plane with wing jacks.

So easy it wasnt worth worrying about. :D
