Magneto's

I noticed that in the Lycoming SI #1443F the magneto's listed for my engine are both the same. Listed is the Slick 4371. The 4371 has the impulse coupling, I believe. Why put two impulse coupling mags on one engine??? I currently have older slick mags and only the left side has the impulse coupling. My engine is the AEIO-320-E2B.

Hi Jon two is just better, gives you twice the spark all plugs fire when cranking. Generally when starting and engine with only one impulse you only switch on the mag with an impulse.
