MT Prop in the rain??

I've had several pilots tell me the MT-9 prop can not be flown in the rain. When I search for information on this to include any limitations or information on their website. As a matter of fact they mention that their props can be outfitted with de-ice boots. Anyone have clarification on this?
 
They are fine in the rian. Its a rumor.

I think they have a video on the website that shows <some airplane> on the ground running full power and getting blasted by a firehose.
