New Landing Gear Bolts

Need some help with the new landing gear bolts that I had purchased for a 1968 7KCAB. Mechanic is trying to install them and he says,

"GEAR BOLTS YOU SENT WONT FIT THEY HIT THE STEEL TUBE THAT FABRICK ATTACHES TO AROUND THE GEAR AND IT SEEMS YOUR PLANE IS ONE OF THE FIRST AND THIS SECTION IS MADE A LITTLE DIFFERENT THAN THE ONES TODAY".

Anyone out there run into a similar problem or know of a work around? These are the new recommended replacements for the old main landing gear U bolts.

Thanks for the help!

Dave,
Call Chad or Mandy at ACA and have them look up the year & model you have. Tell them what your running into and they may have a suggestion & drawings.

Dave, I have a '67 GCBC, on which I replaced the gear bolts. Although the fit was tight, I had no real problems making it work. If I can make it work, your mechanic should be able to as well, or I would find another.
