Hi evrybody,

I am writting you from Spain, new member to this forum and new owner of a 1996 8kcab that hopefully will ship to spain in a few weeks. I have read a little bit the forum searching for some questions and unfortunatley, I have made several decisions before having the opportunity to read this forum.

I have purchased 2 strong wedge 311 parachutes, i hope I will feel confortable but I have seen in some other post this seems to be a very personal thing......I have also purchased 2 aerobatic hooker harness since I did not trust too much in the ones i saw in the pictures....

I am considering service letter 422 just to increase gross weight in normal opps since I dont see too much room for fuel with 2 adults for cross-country flights...., I am contacting ACA but if someone could give me an aprox cost and if it worths the price I must be very fast since my plane is going to stay in florida just another 4 weeks or so.....

Thanks ins advance for your help.

Miguel

Miguel-
Did you ever get ahold of someone at ACA? Where your questions answered?
Good luck with your 1996 8KCAB. I have a 1995 and love it.

Hi,

I called them by phone and talked to them, now I am waiting for a quotation and planning and meanwhile have stoped the ferry flight and the dissamble and shipping but I am still waiting for news, I do not want to bother too much, guess time is needed.

I am very excited about the aircraft and have planned in my mind a thousand of times how will be our first meeting. I will ferry with a friend from the airport where the plane is going to be built up to my home airport (350 NM) and none of us has ever fly in an ACA or similar, my friend has more than 1000 hrs flying air tractor against fires and trust in his skills, he will also teach me for my taildragger since I do not have other possibilities for trainning close and have only 3 hours in CAP 10.

I will keep you informed, thanks a lot.

Miguel
