Hi My name is Tim and I just bought a 72 8KCAB. I am new to tail draggers and have had a blast learning to fly them. I am from Beach City Texas and just wanted to introduce my self first.

So I have a couple of hopefully easy questions
Is there a dipstick tube available from somewhere or someone have the measurements to make one?
And the main question is the a rebuild kit or instructions somewhere on how to repair a small leak in the fuel shut off valve. I called ACA and they only have the newer versions that require welding tabs and making new fuel lines for the older planes?
Thanks for your time and look forward to hearing from you

Welcome, I'm kinda new myself. If you use patience and search in upper right corner your questions will be answered although my first attempt at fixing valve did not work.

Tim some Beechcraft models such as Sport & Sierra used essentially the same valve. Beechcraft has a Service Instruction No. 0364-289 Rev. III that details maintenance on the fuel valve.
The most common problem is stiff operation, if yours is leaking around the shaft you will need the "O" ring MS29513-011 and you should use a new flat copper washer 13/16" ID. You might find one at an auto parts store.
For best operation use a light coat of Molycoate FS-1292 on the cone and "O" ring. I bought it at Motion Industries PN 01104455 it is not cheap but lasts far longer and works far better than Fuel Lube.
Hope that helps.
