Hello All!
I just checked my logbook. I have about 7 hours total time in a Cessna 152. In exchange for a huge discount on flying lessons, I went in half on a 1975 8KCAB! N52245 is on the rental line at AeroDynamic Aviation at Reid-Hillview (KRHV) airport in San Jose, CA. (Now is as good a time as any to correct the July 2014 newsletter item that says that RHV is in Hawthorne, CA. (KHHR).)
My name is Bruce McCoy. I'm an A&P mechanic for United Airlines. My partner in this venture is Nader Poursartip. He is also an A&P mechanic for United Airlines. We both work at the maintenance facility at SFO. He also holds an ATP rating with over 10,000 hours, CFI, Multi...blah, blah, blah...!
Anyway, we figured that we could make a buck or two getting flying bus drivers out of their comfort zone by introducing them to aerobatics. Nader decided to get back into the game with some recurrent training. Turns out that the plane he got the refresher in, was for sale. So we bought it.
We're going to keep it on the rental line at AeroDynamic for the time being. If you are in the SF Bay Area and want to get checked out in this airplane, take a look at http://www.aerodynamicaviation.com/index.php .
As a mechanic, I certainly have some questions and opinions about this airplane. I'm looking forward to joining the conversation. Thanks for listening for now,
Bruce McCoy, co-owner N52245
